COVID-19 Fruits

Galatians 5:22-23-But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Matthew 7:17-20 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

During this current national pandemic all of our “normal” way of living has been modified in some way. Quarantined in our homes, the wearing of gloves and masks when we are outside of homes, working from home, in school from home and attending church from home…life as we have known it has changed.  This difference has been in effect for 2 months now, but I’ve been  overwhelmed with the thought of not leaving this season of life the same way I entered it. Somethings must be different. God allowed this time and it should not be wasted.

When this time is over, what will you have to show for it? What will be your fruit? What did you sow during this time? Will the impact of this time on your life be visible to others?

So, please join with me in making sure we become fruit bearers during this time.

  • Use this time to write your business plan that you’ve been talking about.
  • Focus on your physical health more.
  • Spend more time talking to God.
  • Invest in your mental well being.
  • Take steps to restore that broken relationship.
  • Ask that person for forgiveness.
  • Write that book.
  • Complete that honey-do list.
  • Spend more time in God’s word.
  • Fast.
  • Repent.
  • Forgive yourself.
  • Stop gossiping.
  • Be more discipline with your schoolwork.
  • Get a Mentor.
  • Be a Mentor.
  • Read a Book.
  • Write that song that has been in your hearts for years.

Ignore the negative voices that tell you this is a time of isolation and loneliness. Change your perception and embrace this season as a time of planting, harvesting, doing, taking action to be better than you were the day before.

Stay encouraged, work on bearing your fruits and I would love if you would comment and share the fruits that you’ll be bearing.
